The ten free clinic programs work with many different partners and programs. The income and geographic guidelines for these programs can vary. To determine eligibility for program services please contact the free clinic program closest to you. A listing of the ten free clinic programs can be found at the bottom of this page. Simply click on the clinic name and the appropriate contact information will appear. The clinics are supported by local fund raising, donations, private foundations, and the State of Vermont. Welcome to the home page for the Vermont Coalition of Clinics for the Uninsured
(VCCU). Formed in 1995, the VCCU is a 501(c)3 organization
whose purpose is to increase
access to health care for low income uninsured and underinsured Vermont residents..
The VCCU supports the work of its ten member programs, including six clinics that
provide onsite health care, four programs that refer for health care, and two free
dental clinics. Membership objectives include meeting quarterly to address common issues
and problems, and regular communication with community partners and service
providers. The
VCCU has developed software allowing for data collection on patient and visit data
to evaluate how health care needs across Vermont can best be served.
This software is available
to other free clinics and can easily be adapted for their
use.
